Summer is coming. That means it is time for summmer camp. Each year Sequoia promotes summer Camp for children in grades 3 to 6 and for youth. We call this CAMPossible because Sequoia is committed to make church camp possible for as many kids and youth that God calls to go. Check out the Summer Camp page. We encourage all the kids who have completed third through sixth grade to go to camp and take their friends. At camp the kids and the youth will learn about Jesus and at the same time have a great camp experience. Scholarships are available to help those who need a little extra money to get to camp. The last day to sign up for a scholarship is May 1. The price is $310 for the children and $245 for the youth. We are encouraging all members of Sequoia to contribute to the CAMPossible scholarship fund to help as many kids and youth as possible. Camp envelopes are available at church for those who feel God asking them to give. The dates are June 28 th to July 2nd for the children and June 25th to June 28th for the Youth. It is coming soon so register now by clicking this link.
Did you know 2nd Harvest food bank distributes food from our parking lot every other Friday morning? That we have adopted Brock Elloit school to try to help them reach some of their goals? We are joining with several other area churches to offer showers to the homeless (our first time is March 13th 1-3pm), Love INC, HOPE Family Shelter, as well as the ministries in our church? All these are great opportunities for service. Some are just a couple of hours every other week. Some are once a month, some are once a quarter but all need volunteers. Pray about being a volunteer. It may just be God's opportunity for you.
We at Sequoia believe there is only One living and true God. He is the God of the universe and has always existed. We worship Him on Sundays at 10 AM as a congregation. We also worship Him in our lives. As members of a local church body we have committed ourselves to Jesus Christ and covenant together to live as Christians should. We care about the world because He cares about the World. We are committed to people here and around the world. Click on Missions to see what we are doing to advance the Gospel at home and abroad. Click on Students or Children to see how Sequoia is meeting the needs and challenging these young people.
