Game On starts the first week of June 2018.
Every Sunday at 11:00AM from September through May the 4th to 6th graders learn to hide God's Word in their hearts as they memorize scripture.
The Rockers is the name of the kids choir. It is open to kids first through sixth grade. They practice every Tuesday at 4:00 PM.
Sequoia has a very active (and loud) AWANA group that meets every Wednesday from 6:10PM to 7:45PM. Check out our AWANA page for a lot more information
The Gospel Project is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study for Kids that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, participants will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God's plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still today, compelling them to join the mission of God.
All children first through fourth grade will meet each Sunday at 8:45AM in the family life center upstairs in room 535 for large group opening. Here the kids will have their starter activities and Bible study video.
At 9:05AM to 9:45AM the kids move to small groups for a more in-depth age fitting study of the week's Bible lesson.
Jay Kirby and Melissa Moebius meet with the 1st and 2nd grade kids in room #535
Cathy Kirby and Vern Krenz meet with the 3rd and 4th graders in room #525
Lanell Mahaffie and Roger meet with the 5th graders and 6th graders in room #504
Third to sixth graders will experience the time of their lives and more importantly, they will learn about Jesus! Summer camp is fun and life-changing. Check it out here for this year. Sequoia even raises money every year to help those kids who need financial assistance to go to summer camp. Sequoia believes that it should be possible for all kids to go to camp. We call it CamPossible.
Click the picture on the right for more information. The preschool and children's ministries have teamed up again to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child! Last year we were able to send off 62 completed boxes for all age groups which ended up in the hands of children in the Philippines and Croatia. After learning that the older age group (10-14 years old) often receives the fewest donations, we have decided to set a new goal this year. We hope to assemble 60 boxes for the 10-14 year old age group, 30 boxes for boys, 30 boxes for girls. There are specific items we are collecting for the 60 boxes. If you feel led to donate, please see the current donations request page for the most current count of items still needed."
