Sequoia actively supports mission work in our State.
We support California Disaster Relief with training and sending volunteers to any disaster in the world when called upon. Those interested in working the disaster area through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief must complete a Disaster Relief 
training course. Those completing the course will receive Disaster Relief identification which is required to enter a disaster area and a "yellow Disaster Relief hat" a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief distinctive. Sequoia sends a working team to Jenness Park every Spring for a mission trip to clean up the camp getting it ready for the Summer Camping season.
Sequoia supports the At The Well Ministry. This ministry confronts those going into clinics seeking abortions and offers alternative choices and counseling. This ministry is led by Don Blythe. He spends his time taling with people outside abortion clinics and in colleges and high schools about abortion. His pro-life position has saved many babies from the scalpel of the abortionist.
We contribute to the California Southern Baptist Convention through the Co-Operative program, as well as the California Missions Offering (CMO)
Jesus tells us in Acts 1:8 "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Sequoia's response to this command is to balance our mission work in these four areas:
Our Jerusalem is Manteca and surrounding areas
Our Judea is California and nearby states
Our Ends of the earth is International Missions
