Music at Sequoia

Music is God's creation. It is a gift to God's people to use in praise and adoration and in prayer. Music communicates and expresses faith in ways beyond mere words. Music is a practical art closely tied to theology, to be used in the praise of God and in the proclamation of the Gospel. The Lord accepts even the humblest of our musical gifts, however the musicians at Sequoia are always aspiring to grow in ability. Seeing music as a gift from God provides the foundation for our understanding of the role of music in worship.

Adult Choir I hope you will join us on Wednesday evenings from 8PM(ish)-9 PM. This choir is open to all youth and adults who love to sing and can stay up until 9 PM on a Wednesday night. The Sequoia Adult Choir sings during worship services once or twice each month. They present a full musical in the spring.
Kid's Choir presented the Christmas musical, "Meet me at the Manger." It was an AWESOME performance. The Spring musical was called "Power Up With Prayer" (P.U.W.P.). Kid's Choir is open for all kids who are in the first through 6th grades. Kid's Choir meets every Tuesday at 4:00 PM. They will begin meeting in August to start working on the Christmas musical. Come and check it out.

Choir is a great place to get involved. Sequoia has three different choirs to praise and worship the Lord. Anyone who enjoys singing may join the choir.
