Welcome to Sequoia Women's Ministry

The real purpose of Sequoia's Women's Ministry

Women college age and older are invited and encouraged to come together for support, encouragement and fun. Sequoia Women's ministry seeks to Encourage, Engage, and Equip women to live the life Christ wants for every Christian.

To encourage each other, the Women's Ministry provides opportunities for fellowship, fun, sharing, caring and just developing lasting relationships with each other.

To meet our goal to engage women, the Sequoia Women's Ministry seeks to involve women in personal spiritual growth and spiritual service to each other and to friends and neighbors. We believe God has called women to serve, not just be served.

Sequoia Women's Ministry spends time and resources on equiping women to do the work God wants them to do. This includes searching for what God wants the women to do, not just what we think a good thing would be.

We find these three goals in the Hebrews 10:24 which tells us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."

How are these goals accomplished?

These goals require a lot of work, planning, and activity. Every year the women learn to grow together at the annual Mother/Daughter retreat at Jenness park.

Also every year the women go deeper in God's word at the Annual Women's retreat also at Jenness Park

We have several dinners together here in Manteca, usually with a craft night or other activity to get to know and appreciat each other more. We even have a cookie exchange at least once a year at Christmas time.
