To Our Parents… Welcome to Sequoia Heights Preschool Ministry. We are glad you and your family are here. Children are precious to our ministry staff. Not only do we value the importance of providing a safe and loving environment for them, we strongly believe that even the smallest children are making spiritual decisions based on the care they receive in a church nursery or classroom. We want Sequoia Heights Baptist Church to be the place that children and their parents can come to worship the Lord together.
Where Do I Start?
Preschool facilities will open for receiving children 15 minutes prior to regular church wide activities and services. Preschoolers may be brought to the Preschool department only when the person bringing them is attending a church function.
Signing In
When you enter the Reception Suite on your first visit, you will need to complete an emergency card for each child being registered. We want to get to know you and child and therefore photos will be taken of you and your child to create your child’s ID cards. At each visit, you will need to sign your child in and out on their class sheet. This will help us know at a glance where you can be located in an emergency.
Drop off and Retrieval
For safety reasons, we ask that all parents enter and exit through the Reception Suite. Nobody will be allowed in the preschool area without a badge. When you enter the reception suite, give the receptionist your child’s name. You then sign to pick up your child. We will identify proper custodial parent or guardian by their photo. Any authorized person listed on your child’s ID maybe asked to show ID. The greeter will collect your child’s belongings and escort your child to you in the Reception Suite. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of all God’s children.
Parents in the Classroom
Occasionally, when you desire to spend time in your child’s class, let the Preschool Director know you will be attending. Our child safety guidelines allows you to actively participate with only your child at this time.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not part from it.”
